    I’ve had a disappointing experience with the Volkswagen Service Station in Fair Lawn, NJ. I bought a brand new Volkswagen in November 2023 and since then, I’ve had to bring my car back twice to fix the spoiler. Most recently, I scheduled an appointment a week in advance to have it repaired, only to have my car sit at the service station for two weeks with no updates. I never received a call back when I requested one, and I only got a call the day I was told to pick up my car. The service doesn’t stop there. After the repair, I had a follow-up question and called three times over the span of a week. It wasn’t until I mentioned how frustrating the lack of communication had been that someone finally picked up and answered my question. To top it off, the loaner car they gave me was far from acceptable. Not only was it unclean—there was a pizza box and crumbs all over the back seat—it also had a smashed rear bumper from a prior accident. It honestly felt like I was driving a car that needed service, rather than one I was borrowing. Overall, the experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and just left me feeling like my time wasn’t valued. I expected better from a Volkswagen dealership, especially when it comes to communication and the quality of service. When explaining my frustration with a brand new car having so many problems the staff said "Sometimes cars are unique"... to that I say I would like the car i paid over 30 grand for to be less unique and more worth the cost.

    I’ve never had any issues with this service department in the past. However, this last time was truly disappointing. Since I knew I was going to have a long distance travel schedule for that day, I scheduled my appointment 2 weeks in advance for an early appointment (7:30 am) and service was made aware of this. I dropped the car off the night before. The following morning, I called multiple times and was given run around excuses. Long story short, I received my truck at 4 pm and my travel plans had been ruined. I was completely upset and disappointed with the service levels on the phone.

    I’ve brought my car in for the same issue twice but the problem has not been resolved. Additionally, during my second visit I informed the service person that my vehicle is still registering “need of an oil change” despite already getting one a few months prior, and was reassured it would be reset or fixed, but that was not the case when I picked my vehicle up.

    Service was well done, and the staff was great. The location is currently under construction, so hopefully the new setup will be awesome. I was expecting my car to be cleaned as part of the service, but maybe that’s asking too much for this brand.

    I called for scheduling recall on my id4 2-3 times in couple of months, and i told i want to get all recall stuff done together so i dont have to give away my car again and again. They scheduled me for all recall jobs but once i got the car in i was told this recall for software will take 2days and then again 3rd recall for door handle will be done later since part is in back order. I cant keep on bring my car in for recalls

    The car was brought in before 9:00 am for an appointment at 9:30 am for an oil change which was supposed to take 1-2 hours. When they started to work on the car they noticed an issue with brakes and said they could fix that if I could wait another hour. I agreed. After 3 hours I asked for an update and was told soon. After another hour I was told they were bringing it out. It took MORE THAN 6 HOURS BEFORE I GOT THE CAR BACK! I was in the waiting area the entire time and nobody gave an update unless I asked. And even then the information was wrong. TOTAL FAILURE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!
