I chose a 5-star rating because of my entire experience. This is my fourth car I leased.

The worst service experience I've ever had in over 20 years of car maintenance. Car broke down in nearby area, called dealership to verify they had time to look at the vehicle. They advised they could look at it right away and to come on over. After arriving I was advised nobody could look at the car until the following day. Following up the next day (I had to call nobody called me) They informed me they could not look at my car that day either. Having it dropped off on a thursday, the car was not even inspected until the following monday. Again I had to call to verify this information. They then proceeded to never give full information as to the status and expected completion of the vehicle. After several more days finally a battery replacement was recommended........ after a full week we were at step one a new battery. After the battery failed to fix the issues, they then recommended an secondary air pump replacement. After another full week of waiting for this fix that only takes an hr to do btw...... the issue was still not solved. The tech couldn't source the issue and called in the master tech. The issue a corroded wiring harness connector part number 5Q0973737. A 10$ part. The tech advised to replace it after he attempted to clean it but the issue persisted. I advised them to go ahead and replace the broken connector and just get the car running and driving as it was going on 3 weeks of not having a car and no courtesy car provided for me to be able to get to work during this repair. After 3 1/2 weeks they advised they were cleaning the car and it would be ready for pickup. The car wasn't cleaned, the connector wasn't replaced but instead hotwired to get the car running and the hotwire job left the wire exposed and they broke an additional wiring pin in the process of cleaning the connector causing an additional engine code. So 2,200$ and 3 1/2 weeks later I was given a car that yes turned on but had more codes and was worse off than when I handed it to you. So yes I am seeking legal action to look into reimbursement for this fiasco of a dealership and no I will no bring my car back to have it looked at by the techs that caused further harm to the vehicle because if they couldn't do a proper job after 3 1/2 weeks there is no chance they will actually be able to service this vehicle properly.

The service representative, Alyssa was outstanding, she and the Mechanical Technician were professional, client-centered and kept me updated. I have been a customer of Jack Daniel’s VW since 1985 and their service department is why I swear by them!
